The Red Chile Braised Pork Bowl was developed by James Beard Award-winning Chef Rick Bayless and executed in partnership with Chef Rishi Manoj Kumar. This dish encompasses the simple pleasures of a casual & comforting meal in Oaxaca, featuring chile braised pork in a rustic red sauce, studded with caramelized plantains, black beans, cilantro rice and cheese.

A percentage of proceeds from the sale of this dish will benefit the Frontera Farmer Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by Chef Bayless and his team in 2003, committed to promoting small, sustainable farms serving the Chicago area by providing them with capital development grants.

For those interested in dining at Bar Sótano on Wednesday, April 28th – they will be offering “Happy Hour” all night long featuring $8 Palomas, $1 oysters, $4 Tecate, and more starting at 5pm. See you there!
